2026 Tropical Storage - (Not Sold Out: Payable in Spring of 2026)

Tropical Storage 

Our Tropical Storage Program enables Clients to grow their landscape showpieces year-over-year and add an exotic touch to their Landscapes typically only found at Resorts, Vacation homes or Botanical Gardens! Over Wintered Plants are incorporated into our Fertilizer, Watering & Pest Management program that we currently use to care for our own in-house Collection. Limited Space is available.

Solutions for Keeping Tropical Foliage in Ohio: 

• Winter Storage Duration:

• Plants are stored October – May (until frost risk has passed).

• Pickup & Payment occur in May or June for the previous storage period.

• Storage and Delivery Costs:

• $400 per 40x48 Pallet Space

• Delivery Fee:

•  $80 For Wadsworth & Adjacent ie. Sharon, Norton, Copley, etc.

•  $160 For Extended Routes ie. Medina, Hinkley, Bath, Akron Area, Richfield, Orville etc. - We will pick up and deliver anywhere within 45 minutes of Wadsworth 

• Our Responsibilities:

• Professional Grade Watering, Fertilizing, Pest & Disease Management, and Climate Control. 24/7 Temperature Monitoring by a USA Based Sensor Company. We care for your collection in the same fashion as our collection.

•  We cannot offer any Formal Guarantee as Plants are Perishable and Delicate by Nature. Loss Rates are around 1 pallet out of 60. However: most years no plants perish. Observed losses occurred from dark winters, novel disease, extreme weather, acts of god and cannot be predicted with 100%  certainty.

• Customer Responsibilities:

• By paying in the spring, you certify you've inspected your plants and want them incorporated into your landscape design.

• Unpaid or Unwanted plants are disposed of, resold and/or repurposed -

• NO PRESSURE IF PLANS CHANGE - We are here to help build your oasis with a stress free experience. We get it 😀

• Storage Requirements:

• Plastic Grower Pots 10 Gal or Larger and able to withstand scuffs, scrapes, handling and transport maneuvers. Ceramics are best lined with plastic pots that are able to be removed seasonally for a mess free swap out.

• Plants are delivered to the greenhouse before Fall frost (typically week #39 or the beginning of October).

• Spring pickups and delivery is available after the last frost (typically Week #20 or Late May).

• Palm Trees and Large format Should be left in the pot if installing into the landscape. Please have your landscaper remove them from the ground prior to pickup. This ensures no machine/heavy equipment is required for removal.

• Pallet Capacity:

• Each pallet holds 60 - 80 gallons of foliage under normal conditions.

• Example:

• 2 x 25-gallon Palms and a 2 10 gallon Bananas / Elephant Ears

• 4 x 15-gallon banana trees

• Large specimens (i.e. 10-year-old Monstera) may take up a full pallet.

• Temperature Control: ~60°F daytime / ~50°F nighttime, monitored 24/7 with a USA-based sensor company. Heaters also have contingency backup units.

• Plant Health & Risk:

• If plants do not survive storage or are no longer needed, no payment is due for storage.

• As stated: Losses are rare (~1 out of 60 pallets), mainly due to pests, disease, or plant-specific vulnerabilities.

• Staff can recommend which plants thrive best over winter.

Delivery & Staging Service

• Delivery Route Schedule:

• Starts week after Mother’s Day (May–June).

• Limited availability, first-come, first-served.

• Delivery Days: Monday – Thursday.

• In-store pickups available after frost risk has passed, obviously for free.

• Delivery & Staging Details:

• Tropical Pickup Team schedules Routes planned out nearing the last frost date: Starting on the 1st week of October - Paying for your Pickup here will put you on our Pickup Route Schedule. Pricing is based on your delivery area. 

• We transport all plants inside of enclosed trucks and/or trailers, all we need is dolly access to the plants during normal business hours - if you would like to be present and are available: our team is happy to meet during pickup to inspect, chat & evaluate the seasonal performance of your plants and give pointers.
